Beverage cans, toys, furniture or similar constructions, oxygen bottles, mannequins, mirrors, amorphous piles of papier-mâché, artificial fruit, photographs, plastic wrap, clothes, buckets, film posters, tableware, videos–these are elements which define, with their banal heterogeneity and seemingly random logic of accumulation, the appearance of contemporary sculpture. Subjects such as the status of everyday objects, the appropriation of things and commodities, and the integration of media images in sculptural installations will be debated with leading exponents of present-day positions in sculpture.

Getränkedosen, Spielzeug, Möbel oder möbelähnliche Konstruktionen, Sauerstoffflaschen, Schaufensterpuppen, Spiegel, amorphe Pappmaché-Anhäufungen, künstliches Obst, Fotografien, Plastikfolie, Kleidungsstücke, Eimer, Bücher, Filmplakate, Geschirr, Videos – solche Elemente bestimmen in ihrer banalen Heterogenität und scheinbar wahllos akkumulativen Logik das Erscheinungsbild der zeitgenössischen Skulptur. Themen wie der Status des Alltagsobjekts, die Aneignung von Waren und Dingen und die Integration von Medienbildern in installative Praktiken werden mit führenden Vertretern aktueller Positionen in der Skulptur diskutiert.
