The combination of liberal democracy and capitalist market economy with the goal of ritualized, continuous growth has a massive impact on our ecosystems and climate. Climate conferences behave as annual failing rituals and do not bring about lasting changes. Individual measures to reduce the ecological footprint are important, but our economic system needs to be rethought. Can climate protection and a “healthy” economic system go hand in hand?

KUNST HAUS WIEN. Museum Hundertwasser
Wiens erstes „grünes“ Museum widmet große Sonderausstellungen der zeitgenössischen Fotografie. Immer wieder stellen fotografische Themenausstellungen auch den Ökologie- und Nachhaltigkeitsschwerpunkt in den Vordergrund. In der „Garage“ werden unterschiedliche Projekte gezeigt, die sich heute an der Schnittstelle von Kunst und Natur bewegen – diesen Aspekt hatte schon Museumsgründer Hundertwasser in seinem Werk verankert.
