There is a lot of production going on in this world. Painting is not a production, it is a birth process that turns the painful into something beautiful, complex, ambivalent, intangible.
The four painters have had an intensive exchange for a long time.
What they have in common: they all have taken positions that are not always easy to read.
They keep art history and also the past in play. The past is present with them and the reference to art history is immanent.
