Austrian artist Darius Edlinger presents at gallery rauminhalt_harald bichler an ensemble of graphically abstracted musical instruments and corresponding phrases of reduced sounds pressed onto vinyl. Each instrument displayed finds its acoustic equivalent in a specially composed and repetitive musical motif that is subject to constant change. The individual painting in connection with its corresponding sound stands for itself. In the exhibition, Edlinger allows these individual works to sound as an ensemble, which, as a result of tonal overlaps, form a unified sound and produce different nuances depending on the position of the needles of the individual turntables.
