The mouth is not only for the intake of food. We also perceive our environment through it. Taste experiences influence our thinking and behavior. We use our mouths to communicate our thoughts and emotions to others through speech. As an important component of our facial expressions, we also use it to signal sympathy or aversion. As part of the mouth, the lips are a symbol of our passion.
In our exhibition we want to show chewed paintings, sculptural exhibits, a sound installation, and selected works on canvas and paper. They are intended not only to represent the different facets of the mouth as a medium of communication and sensual experience, but also to convey the artistic passion of the Art Brut artists.

The werd:art gallery and the adjoining café are a central meeting place for artists, art lovers and, of course, coffee lovers.
Works from the neighboring workshops and studios can be admired and also purchased there.
The gallery and the gallery café are barrier-free and offer visitors an insight into the creative work of the artists of the “Jugend am Werk” association.
