Climate, Art and Nuclear Power
Antoinette de Jong and Robert Knoth work and live as an artist duo in Amsterdam. In the work Tree and Soil they photograph and film the natural environment surrounding Fukushima, Japan, in the wake of the nuclear disaster. They deal with the problem of atomic energy from an artistic perspective and illustrate in stunning images how the environment has slowly changed and evolved over the years. The exhibition at the KUNST HAUS WIEN Garage features photographic works, a video installation, interviews, and illustrations and can be seen till 13.02.2022.
In the FUTURE TALK to the exhibition Tree and Soil, Michael Huber (Kurier) discusses current issues relating to art, climate and nuclear power with experts from art, science and politics.

KunstHausWien
As the first “green museum,” KunstHausWien sees itself as a central location where issues relating to the environment and sustainability are addressed in the context of contemporary art. Based on the work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser and his commitment to ecological and socio-political responsibility, the museum presents exhibitions of contemporary art and links them to an interdisciplinary, in-depth discourse program.
