As part of his current solo exhibition at Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Tobias Pils invites visitors to a conversation about his work. Under the title Meet the Artists, the event offers direct insight into the artistic practice of the internationally renowned painter, whose focus in this exhibition is on large-scale ink drawings.

Pils’ works emerge from an open, intuitive approach in which abstract forms, graphic structures, and figurative allusions interweave into complex visual worlds. In his monumental ink drawings, density and emptiness, body and space, gesture and control are brought into a tense and dynamic unity. The conversation offers the opportunity to learn more about the creation of these works, the role of drawing within his overall œuvre, and Pils’ artistic development in recent years.

The event is aimed at all those interested in art who wish to take the opportunity to encounter an artist of international standing in person and to gain a deeper understanding of his visual language. Parallel to the exhibition at the gallery in Vienna, the mumok – Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien – is currently presenting a comprehensive solo exhibition of Tobias Pils. This rare constellation makes it possible to experience the painter’s artistic language from different perspectives.
