Two bodies – the artist’s and that of a male performer – are sewn together: seams trace lines across skin, connecting arms and legs. A fragile, intimate fabric of body and thread emerges – a temporary unity.
In the following performative phase, the performers begin to move – slowly at first, searching, sensing. The process of sewing the bodies together will take up roughly half of the time. Afterwards, the two bodies begin to move in unison. Every movement provokes tension; each small gesture pulls at the artificially created bond.
Gradually, the seams tear. The separation becomes inevitable, though not staged as dramatic: the unraveling occurs organically, as a natural consequence of movement itself.
