EVENT LANGUAGE: ENGLISH/HEBREW
“Mizrachi Futurism: Situated Systems” is a performance that probes the entangled processes of identity formation, visibility, and belonging through a Mizrachi, queer epistemic lens.
It interrogates how cultural memory, ancestral transmission, and digital infrastructures co-construct the self, especially within systems that privilege legibility over complexity.
In dialogue with the algorithmic gaze and the normative architectures of social media, the work resists epistemic flattening—foregrounding what remains opaque, partial, or deliberately concealed.
Through ritual gestures, embodied presence, and mediated fragmentation, the performance unfolds as a critical site of knowledge-making: one that is relational, contested, and fundamentally situated.

Jüdisches Museum Wien
The Jewish Museum Vienna sees itself as a place of urban diversity. With its exhibitions, its event and educational programs at both museum locations, but also with its digital offerings, it conveys the breadth of Jewish life and Jewish cultures in the past and present. It shows the history of the relationship between the Jewish and non-Jewish population and addresses aspects such as identity, inclusion and exclusion from a Jewish perspective.
It is an open place that conveys and lives democracy and diversity, an inclusive museum that offers opportunities for participation and inclusion, tries out new formats and works to be barrier-free in every respect.
