“I carry all the names I am given” is an interdisciplinary performance where body and landscape dissolve into one another, blurring the boundary between presence and absence, the organic and the inanimate. Visual artist Sophia Gatzkan explores the body as an “everted landscape,” and strips bare the anatomy of raw human complexity to find previously hidden canvases on which to express our technological condition. Choreographer Magdalena Forster interprets the movement, where the body becomes a site of material metaphor, feeding back between transformation and reflection. As part of the exhibition Raw upon Raw, where sculptures, fragmented and reassembled, challenge the integrity of the human form. Here the exhibition creates a milieu for a performance inviting the audience into a space where bodies and landscapes continually shift and intertwine.
