An expedition leads into the unknown studio landscape of the OpenCave. Their tectonics, the structure of their deposits, layers, crystallizations and possibly existing cavities are the focus of a longer stay. The strategy and tools of the soil investigations are based on the structural characteristics of this area, form and decide on the spot. The entirety of what is found is part of the “earth’s crust”. E.d. Gfrerer will intervene directly in the circumstances of the OpenCave studio/atelier which will be in operation and, as a sensitive expert for “rearrangement”, will recognize structures and treasures and thus artistically reshape the OpenCave habitat. A space for creating art becomes a work of art itself.
