The Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport has been providing working studios for visual artists for many decades. Currently, subsidized studios are awarded at the 2 locations Westbahnstraße and Wattgasse, some more studios in the Prater area are supervised. These 48 studios for visual artists are awarded for a period of 7 or 10 years after a publicly published call for proposals and after adjudication by an independent panel of experts.

Maria Christine Holter and Klaus Speidel offer insights into the work of the artists at the studio during a guided tour. The studios of the following artists will be visited:

For many decades, the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sports has been providing subsidized studios for artists working in the fields of visual arts, photography, and media art. At present, studios are available at two locations: Westbahnstraße and Wattgasse.
