The Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport has been providing working studios for visual artists for many decades. Currently, subsidized studios are awarded at the 2 locations Westbahnstraße and Wattgasse, some more studios in the Prater area are supervised. These 48 studios for visual artists are awarded for a period of 7 or 10 years after a publicly published call for proposals and after adjudication by an independent panel of experts.
Maria Christine Holter and Klaus Speidel offer insights into the work of the artists at the studio during a guided tour. The studios of the following artists will be visited:

Bundesateliers Wattgasse
For many decades, the Federal Ministry of Arts and Culture has been providing studios for visual artists. Currently, subsidized studios are allocated at the two locations on Westbahnstraße and Wattgasse, and the studios in the Prater are managed by the ministry.
A total of 48 studios for artists in these fields are allocated through a publicly announced open call and following a juried selection process by an independent panel of experts.
