Access to art and culture for children and young people: an investment in the future
Wiener Städtische has supported VIENNA ART WEEK for many years. Here, the company explains why.

Wiener Städtische is one of the leading insurance companies in the country. We provide security in many areas of life and bear responsibility not only for our customers, but for society as a whole. We meet this responsibility in a wide variety of ways – including in the area of art and culture. We support a wide range of institutions and initiatives both regionally and nationally. With this commitment, we make a contribution to supporting the local cultural landscape and promoting its further development.
We pay particular attention to promoting young talent and are committed to giving children and young people access to art and culture. This is because we are convinced that cultural education is an essential part of a comprehensive education and that children can draw important insights from it for their future path.

Yet many children are denied access to the world of art – for a wide variety of reasons. We want to counteract this and ensure that children, regardless of their background, social status and previous history, can get to know and appreciate art in all its wonderful diversity. Culture brings people together, opens up new perspectives, and helps us recognize our strengths and shape our own identities. This makes it all the more important that everyone has access to cultural offerings. With our commitment, we want to make a contribution to ensuring that children can fully realize their artistic potential. For this reason, we are once again supporting the VIENNA ART WEEK as a reliable partner.

This year’s project – a new wall design for CAPE 10
Thanks to the support of Wiener Städtische, VIENNA ART WEEK was once again able to realize a spray workshop for children and young people this year. In cooperation with CAPE 10 – a modern social, health, and innovation center in Vienna’s 10th district – a communal space for young visitors was artistically redesigned.
The entire creative process, from the first mood boards to the final wall panels, was developed and carried out by students of the MIM (Music and Informatics Middle School) Wendstattgasse under professional artistic guidance.
The result is a vibrant, permanently visible artwork that not only enhances the atmosphere of the space, but also—with its motivating, uplifting imagery—sets a strong example of creativity and empowerment for young people.
