Access to art and culture for children and young people: an investment in the future

Wiener Städtische has supported VIENNA ART WEEK for many years. Here, the company explains why.

Wiener Städtische is one of the leading insurance companies in the country. We provide security in many areas of life and bear responsibility not only for our customers, but for society as a whole. We meet this responsibility in a wide variety of ways – including in the area of art and culture. We support a wide range of institutions and initiatives both regionally and nationally. With this commitment, we make a contribution to supporting the local cultural landscape and promoting its further development.

We pay particular attention to promoting young talent and are committed to giving children and young people access to art and culture. This is because we are convinced that cultural education is an essential part of a comprehensive education and that children can draw important insights from it for their future path.

Yet many children are denied access to the world of art – for a wide variety of reasons. We want to counteract this and ensure that children, regardless of their background, social status and previous history, can get to know and appreciate art in all its wonderful diversity. Culture connects people, lets us find new perspectives, and helps us recognize strengths and develop our own identity. This makes it all the more important that everyone has access to cultural offerings. With our commitment, we want to make a contribution to ensuring that children can fully realize their potential. For this reason, we are once again supporting the VIENNA ART WEEK as a reliable partner.
