In the context of the exhibition The Poiesis of Composting, which can be seen until 12.02.22 at Exhibit Eschenbachgasse, the curators Guilherme Maggessi and Rafał Morusiewicz invite the collective Sprachwechsel from Vienna to an open reading of selected texts. In a discussion moderated by the curators, the metaphorical concept of composting, which is central to the exhibition, will be extended to the realm of the text. What does it mean to produce texts in a language in which one has not been socialized? Can translation be understood as a form of mutation? How does reading in another language change the way one writes? How does writing in another language change the way one reads? How can the metaphor of composting help us understand these processes in different ways? And finally, how does text function in an exhibition space?
