PARALLEL Vienna opens on Wednesday
9 September 2026 in four historic buildings within the Otto Wagner Areal. Until 13 September, over 130 exhibitors will be showcasing their work at the exhibition venue.
These include galleries from eight countries, projects from the independent art scene, institutions
and the ARTIST STATEMENTS, in which 30 selected young artists will be presented with a
solo exhibition.

The imposing Art Nouveau theatre will become the ‘Petit Palais’ and offer 17 selected galleries
space for their presentations within a specially designed exhibition layout.
PARALLEL Editions, previously a standalone fair format, will for the first time have its own section within PARALLEL Vienna. A key focus is on photography, which in 2026 will look back on 200 years of history. For the first time, there will also be an opportunity to bid on selected photographs at the OstLicht Auction.

A major special exhibition is dedicated to the theme of Eat Art and pays homage to Daniel
Spoerri (1930–2024), who coined the term. PARALLEL KITCHEN brings together works by several generations of artists in a group exhibition that also serves as a fully functional kitchen and a social meeting place.

No PARALLEL Vienna would be complete without performances: these take place in the exhibitors’ spaces as well as in the outdoor area. The 14th edition also features a varied supporting programme with food concepts by Mochi, as well as the opening and closing parties with musical line-up.

The PARALLEL Vienna exhibition grounds are extensive, so it’s best to allow plenty of
